LostDogFoundDog is a free online service where Lost Dogs are Found. Here’s how it works:

If you lost or found a dog:

1.Register by entering your personal information on lostdogfounddog.

2.List the lost or found dog by entering his or her details, including age, breed, location lost, etc.

3.LostDogFoundDog.com will help reunite dogs and their owners in various ways

a.A listing on the site can be searched by other users who’ve lost or found a dog
b.Alerts are distributed via Facebook
c.Alerts are distributed via Twitter
d.Alerts are distributed via email (coming soon)
e.We are working diligently on phone campaigns, media campaigns and any other way we can help reunite dogs and their owners.

LostDogFoundDog is a free service to dog owners (and Dog finders), so our business model is advertiser supported. We created this service first and foremost, for our love of dogs and understanding how distressing it is when one of them wanders away from home. The idea of hanging signs around a neighborhood, when there is so much connectivity available to us through the internet seemed incredibly inefficient. Chips and tattoos are good, but 2/3 of the population are not dog owners, and don’t know how to use these systems, there are reports of shelters ignoring them, and the darkest of all, they don’t stop anyone from stealing your loved one. In the age of social media, we should be able to reunite dogs with their owners in record time. With a photo of your dog being distributed to everyone in your neighborhood, it creates much more leverage to pressure your neighbors to do the right thing.
